Guest Controller Approval (GCA)

According to IVAO Rule 5.1.7. members of division other than IVAO Croatia (HR) are prohibited to conduct ATC operations on any position without prior approval and permission of the Croatian HQ. If you would like to ask for this permission, you must fulfill the following requirements:

- you are a holder of ADC rating for more than 3 month
- you have not exceed the total number of four guest controller approvals worldwide
- you posses good knowledge of LDZO FIR procedures and Letters of Agreements (LoA) prior to requesting the GCA checkout
- you have a clean suspension history
- you are able to provide ATC services in English and optionally Croatian language as well, hence real life VFR traffic is allowed to communicate in Croatian or English language within the Croatian Airspace

In order to keep your GCA, you must control at least 3 hours per month within the LDZO FIR. Your attendance will be checked periodically by our staff and in case we notice longer abstinence in your activity we will be revoking your guest controller approval. Exceptions are allowed at any time due to your personal or professional reasons and time constrains.

All applicants, disregarding their respective IVAO ATC rating, will initially start and have their checkout on the Tower Position of choice. In case of passing this initial checkout and receiving the GCA from our side, you will be allowed to control only Tower Positions at the beginning. After you gain proper experience on the Tower Positions, you will be allowed to take another checkout for Approach Positions on the airport of your choice. In case of successfully validating it, your FRA will be further unlocked for all Approach Positions. The same steps will have to be taken to obtain the GCA for Center Position, but keep in mind that your IVAO ATC rating may not be lower than the one required in our FRA list.
